ME, MYSELF, AND LIES

For college age females. Have you ever noticed the things you say to yourself – and believe?  I could never do that.  They don’t like me.  I am such an idiot!  You wouldn’t talk that way to anyone else, yet phrases like these constantly flow through your mind, leaving you insecure and defeated.  Author Jennifer Rothschild was there, as well, until she learned how to replace the lies with truth.  With wisdom and authenticity, using Jennifer’s book “What Should You Say When You Talk To Yourself” you will learn to…

  • silence the negative voices in your mind as you learn to speak kindly to your soul
  • grow in confidence by replacing the lies that shackle you with the truth that sets you free
  • overcome a lifetime of damaging self-talk by practicing godly and biblical soul-talk

KNOW HOPE: FINDING HOPE IN TRAGEDY **

In 2012, our family was called to Nicaragua to serve the poorest of the poor.  Being obedient to His call to the foreign mission field was easy, but being obedient through the mission has been both challenging and inspirational.  When our 19 year old daughter died unexpectedly, I was called to a level of obedience I had never fathomed.  A year and half before she died our daughter shared scripture with a friend, these very same scriptures walked us through those first 90 days in the valley.  When God called us to the mission field, we felt He was saying, “Come, know me more.” We have learned more about who He is through this journey and that only He could carry us through.  Meets at the Norton Campus.
